About the Author

Jodie Brown

Jodie has a passion for helping young women to fully understand their menstrual cycles, and to encourage menstrual wellbeing through greater awareness of options and challenging social narratives. Jodie loves to witness expanding confidence and personal growth, through knowledge, creating connections and self-care practices, whilst embracing the incredible nature of our cycles that are embedded in everyday-lives. She has four wonderful young adult children, a son and three daughters, to whom she dedicates this book.

Holding a Bachelor Degree in Social Work, Jodie continues to support vulnerable people in her daily work. She has co-hosted gatherings that bring young people and their elders together in sharing circles of learning, laughter and connection.  These gatherings help raise menstrual literacy and cyclic awareness — which is vitally important for generations to follow, wildly confident and empowered.

Jodie lives on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia, on Gubbi Gubbi/Kabi Kabi country.
